1. Stigmata is what causes Faith to bleed. It is said to be a condition when people are so in contact with God that they begin to bleed from all the places that Jesus did while he was on the cross.
2. I don’t really know the answer to this question..I think because she’s her mother and when you’re younger you think you’re mom can do anything.
3. Well..Picoult wants Faith to be a special child, so she just did. There aren’t any real explanations for a miracle to happen. In the book, Faith is so connected with God that she’s able to pray and perform these miracles.
4. It’s not a true story, but yah in Faith’s mind she was seeing God.
I don’t know the answer to the last question. I hope this helps.

Who understands KEEPING FAITH by Jodi Picoult?
I just read Keeping Faith by Jodi Picoult and I don’t really get it.
Here are some questions
1) What actually causes Faith to bleed? Is it stigmata?
2) Why does Faith think Mariah is god?
3) How did Faith do all those miracles and raised her grandmother again?
4) Was Faith really seeing God?
5) Did Mariah suffer from any of those metioned diseases?

Please help me understand the book better! Thanks!

How is that a problem? Sounds to me like it’s an advantage. As long as you’re not leading anyone on and making them think that it’s something that it isn’t. Don’t get ahead of yourself. That is what dating is all about, trial and error.

One at a time is inefficient. More collateral damage, but a greater chance of hitting your target. Sounds harsh, but it’s the truth. It’s one date, you just met. You don’t owe them anything, nor do they owe you anything. If they’re part of the same website, what makes you think they’re not dating multiple people, too?

Just because you meet somebody doesn’t mean it’s a relationship. You’d be very naive to believe that you’re the only one they’ve talked to or met.

I have a subscription to an online dating service. The problem is that I have more then one wanting to meet?
I have met more then one wanting to go somewhere. Is it moral to focus on one or go on all of the "meetings?" I am not a fan of cheating and its never right, but where is the line drawn? Should I see if one works out or go on multiples and see which one works out?

Some people die for no reason. Mean people get to live because they have not commited suicide. I have decided these things and I am not even here. All lives are worth more than others.

Your question is worthless so i will give you a worthless answer and then i will give you this.

Why do you worry of these things when there are so many beautiful roses to smell. Right now step outside and take a deep breath and observe how it feels inside of you. Or wreak havoc on your own mind worrying about answers to questions of which if you ever had the right answers you could do nothing to change any of those things.

Choice’s are
-smell some flowers = Heaven.
-torture thy self = Hell.

Lets look at it this way. You are the witness of a terrorist pointing a gun at a doctor who just discovered a cure for cancer and he has all this information in his head and hasn’t told anyone yet but you. The terrorist is going to kill this doctor unless you intervene using deadly force. You and you alone have to decide what to do. In effect, you have to decide who lives or dies. At first glance you instinctively aim your gun at the terrorist because you think that he deserves to die and the doctor should live. This is a moral question and afterall, morality is nothing more than the ability to tell right from wrong and the courage to act on it. To answer your question more fully, society gets to decide who lives or dies by the people we elect into office because they are the ones who write the laws so in the long run you decide who lives or dies. It kind of makes this up coming election a little more important. Good luck.

No, I don’t think so. Just because someone has more money or status or whatever doesn’t make them better than anyone else. We are all equal souls. God doesn’t judge that way. We’re here to teach others by example, and others are here to teach us. That bum on the street might be there for you to learn compassion. If certain people are annoying, ignore them, it’s better than being one of them.
